Required courses for the B.S. degree in minimum preparation for a professional career in geological sciences or entry into graduate school include 62 hours of geology: A. Requirements in Geological Sciences
Introductory course (5 credit hours) Plus one of the following
Core Courses (57 credit hours)
Additional 400-level classes (12 credit hours)
- Three additional 400-level classes (or a senior thesis and two 400-level electives)
B. Extradepartmental Requirements
Students must take both Chemistry and Math (20–23 credit hours)
Students may take either of the Physics or Biology options below (10–15 credit hours)
Note:
Discuss the selection of an appropriate physics sequence with your advisor. PHYS 203 may be required for some graduate programs. |
