Bachelor of Music in Music Education
To specialize in music education, you must choose one of two areas of concentration: instrumental music education or choral/general music education. Upon completion of the program and State Board of Education requirements, the music education candidate will receive an Ohio Multi-Age License for teaching music in the public schools.
Principal Instrument
The principal instrument may be any wind or string instrument, percussion, or piano or organ. Wind, string, and percussion principals must elect Piano (class piano-MUS 141 - 243-or studio piano MUS 341) as the secondary instrument. Piano or organ principals must follow procedures outlined in the School of Music Undergraduate Handbook.
