Program Overview

Recreation management is an interdisciplinary profession. Knowledge and content emphasis in the recreation management sector focuses on international, national, regional, state, county and municipal recreation services, and they can be applied in commercial, community, collegiate, camp, and resident settings. After successfully completing the requirements and officially applying for degree conferral, you will be awarded the Bachelor of Science in Recreation Studies (B.S.R.S.) degree.

Careers are broad-based and include municipal park and recreation departments, campus recreation, camps, marinas, resorts, and outdoor agencies.
