Program Overview

The Journalism Minor offers students an overview of the role of media in society and an understanding of basic theories and practices of newsgathering and strategic communication. The minor helps students to communicate information about their major disciplines to a wide audience, across multiple media platforms.

No requirements beyond University admission requirements.

Opportunities Upon Graduation

Completion of the Journalism Minor will enable students to pursue career opportunities in which critical analysis of information, media literacy, and an understanding of basic journalistic concepts are required.
