Program Overview

The mission of the MBAn is to provide recent graduates of bachelor programs who may or may not have professional working experience with specialized skills to advance their careers.

The MBAn is designed to help career seeking or established working professionals to find careers within the domain of business analytics. The MBAn program will focus on applied applications of analytics within various business contexts. Within a business context, business professionals must possess a functional ability to summarize, interpret, and communicate insights discovered from data analysis. In today’s business environment, business professionals need more than these foundational skills. Today, business professionals must develop advanced technical skills to provide their organizations with valuable insight that can lead to better business decisions. For example, as data becomes easier to collect and store, databases are becoming larger and more challenging to explore. Larger sources of data require specific technical skills and these complex skills are in high demand for organizations. The program will feature software that is commonly used within businesses today. In terms of analytical methodologies, students will explore various topics within descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. In addition, students will also learn a variety of technical skills to manage and analyze data stored within databases, which could be structured or unstructured. In addition to the technical aspects of the program, students will also learn strategic uses of information systems and analytics.

The MBAn program is structured to help students with no prior knowledge of business analytics develop and enhance core competencies that are highly sought by organizations today. The program promotes career-changing and professional and personal development by providing advanced knowledge and tools to excel in the business world.

Expected time to complete the degree is 5 semesters. Online students are required to attend a minimum of one weekend residency in Athens over the course of the program.
