Program Overview
Exceptionally qualified and prepared students who are seeking to expand their sales knowledge and leadership skills beyond the undergraduate coursework required for completion of the undergraduate sales certificate may apply to complete the Strategic Selling and Sales Leadership graduate certificate with their bachelor’s degree.
Admissions Information
Students will be eligible to apply when they have earned or are in-process of completing 75 credit hours; students will be eligible to enroll in courses when they have earned or are in-process of completing 90 credit hours.
This program is a competitive program for highly qualified individuals. Admissions requirements include 3.0 or higher accumulative GPA and a 3.5 or higher GPA in the most recent 30 credit hours. Applicants must also have a B+ or better letter grade in MKT 2900 - Special Topics in Marketing , MKT 3580 - Foundations of Professional Sales , and one of the following: MKT 4580 - Sales Management , MKT 4680 - Consultative Sales , or MKT 4780 - Sales Strategy & Technology . Applicants must be accepted into the undergraduate sales certificate program, complete an application, and submit a current resume. Applicants will also need to complete an interview process.
Graduate Courses
The following courses may be completed prior to earning the bachelor’s degree:
- MBA 6300 Building & Developing Customer Relationships (3 credits)
- MBA 6400 Sales Leadership (3 credits)
- MBA 6500 Sales Analytics (3 credits)
The hours earned in the graduate courses may count toward the total hours needed for the bachelor’s degree. These courses may not fulfill undergraduate degree requirements other than total hours required for graduation.
Opportunities Upon Graduation
Students who complete the program will be qualified for careers in professional selling, sales management, and strategic selling. Students may also advance toward graduate programs in business, marketing, and/or sales.
