Program Overview

The IE minor trains its participants in the design and management of systems and processes to achieve productivity and quality.  The minor is relevant for many disciplines including other types of engineering, health care, and science.   For jobs that involve overseeing day-to-day operations, IE skills help to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations.  Other classes in the minor demonstrate the application of statistics, programming, and economic analysis from an engineering perspective.

External Transfer Admission

No requirements beyond University admission requirements.

Opportunities Upon Graduation

Students with an IE minor get jobs in a manufacturing or other production environments (particularly where multidisciplinary skills are required).
