TThe Principal Licensure Certificate is a 17-credit hour graduate certificate that prepares

certificate must already possess a master’s degree in education or a related field and a
current teaching license. Through coursework and clinical experiences in schools,
students acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and dispositions to be successful
educational leaders in P-12 schools.

Opportunities upon Completion

The program provides its students with an opportunity to become knowledgeable in a substantive manner about the operation of a school. Program graduates tend to do exceptionally well on the required Ohio Licensure Test, to be employed as administrators based upon the strong reputation of the program, and to be successful once they become administrators.
