OCOM 8231 - Elective - Urology The elective integrates biomedical, social, osteopathic, clinical, and health systems science into the clinical learning environment. Educational activities rely on the application and integration of foundational concepts in urology through faculty and learner-directed study. Additionally, course topics are reinforced through clinical experiences.
Credit Hours: 2-40
Course Outcomes
- Students will be able to complete a focused urologic history and physical exam.
- Students will be able to recognize common urologic conditions.
- Students will be able to interpret diagnostic test results in patients with urologic conditions.
- Students will be able to describe the common procedures utilized to diagnose and treat urologic conditions.
- Students will be able to apply the medical knowledge necessary for the diagnostic and therapeutic decision making in patients with urologic conditions.
