OCOM 8239 - Elective - Critical Care Medicine This elective integrates biomedical, social, osteopathic, clinical, and health systems science into the clinical learning environment. Students apply foundational concepts through faculty- and learner-directed study, reinforced by clinical experiences while on a critical care medicine rotation. Students collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to gain experience in the evaluation and management of critically ill patients in intensive care settings.

- Students will be able to apply diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to common ICU conditions.
- Students will be able to describe the use of mechanical ventilation and hemodynamic support.
