OCOM 8240 - Elective - Gastroenterology This elective integrates biomedical, social, osteopathic, clinical, and health systems science into the clinical learning environment. Students apply foundational concepts through faculty- and learner-directed study, reinforced by clinical experiences while on a gastroenterology rotation. Students collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to gain experience in the evaluation and management of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
Credit Hours: 2-40

- Students will be able to describe gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary system functions and disorders.
- Students will be able to apply principles of diagnosis and management for common GI conditions.
- Students will be able to describe indications and techniques for endoscopic procedures.
