BIOS 424A - Virology Course intended to familiarize students with the principles of virology and focuses on human and animal viruses. Emphasis is placed on the molecular events following virus-cell interaction, which are critical to viral replication and pathology. Topics also include viral evolution, novel infectious agents, use of viruses for gene therapy, and modern methods of studying viruses. 3 lec. Prerequisites: C- OR BETTER (BIOS 320 & 325)
Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
