C E 319 - Construction Equipment and Methods Covers the fundamentals of earthmoving including: earthmoving equipment productivity, the selection of earthmoving equipment, equipment economics, and construction equipment fleet analysis. Addresses the fundamentals of heavy construction site activities including: drilling and blasting rocks, tunneling, and determining concrete requirements. Also covers construction materials such as masonry, steel, and wood. Construction site safety, failures and formwork design are included in the course. Prerequisites: C E 316
Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken three times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
