DSI 191 - Interpreting as a Profession Second of three assessments in deaf studies and interpreting degree program, requiring 50-60 percent improvement from 120 in speed in signing, knowledge of culture, and interpreting and reverse interpreting skills. Includes introduction to practicums, professionalism of interpreting (dress, demeanor, professional organizations), national certification, and ethics of the profession and their impact on personal views. Prerequisites: DSI 120
Credit Hours: 1 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
