EDCR 201B - Childhood in America


Introduces students to children and their characteristics at various levels of development. Students are also introduced to and encouraged to examine factors that influence children’s learning in the schools, such as families, neighborhoods, race, culture, gender, and socioeconomic status. Students examine values and belief systems of themselves and children, as well as identify elements of successful parenting.
Prerequisites: EDCR 101 & 201A

Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken an unlimited number of times, but only last course taken counts.
