EDEC 350 - Teaching Social Studies in Early Childhood

The foundation of social studies is to help students gain new understandings of the world through discourse and activities that emphasize applications to authentic issues and problems of human society. Problem solving, critical thinking, analysis, negotiation, and collaboration are part of the teaching of social studies.
Prerequisites: ADM TO ADV STAN IN PROF EDUC & 2.75 GPA

Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
