EDSP 400 - Nature and Needs of Severe Behavior Handicapped

Basic understanding of characteristics of students with severe behavior handicaps. Topics include conceptual models of disturbance/abnormal psychology, classification, identification of assessment, internalizing and externalizing behaviors/disorders, problems of adolescence, and community agencies. Both educational and psychological perspectives emphasized. S. Safran.
Prerequisites: ADVANCED STANDING IN EDUCATION

Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
