ENG 253 - Survey of American Literature
Surveys some of the major authors, genres, and movements in American Literature, from the early colonial period to the 20th century. The course includes some of the most influential literary figures in American literature, but also gives attention to less canonical writers who have attracted increasing scholarly attention in recent years.
Prerequisites: ENG 250 OR CONCURRENT
Credit Hours: 5
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken 4 times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
