GLC 204 - Communication and Development Research and analysis of how communication can be used to promote development in such areas as agriculture, education, public health, the environment, nation-building, and political and social democracy. Examines changing definitions of development and places emphasis on understanding the historical, social, economic, and political circumstances that impact development and communication strategies used to promote development. Sample projects: Research development needs in a specific country and write a grant proposal for a communication campaign to address these needs. Prerequisites: GLC 201 & 202
Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
