PSY 430 - Psychoactive Drugs: Therapeutic Agents and Drugs of Abuse

Patterns of use and abuse of psychoactive agents, behavioral and physiological effects of drugs; etiological factors in drug abuse; treatment of drug abuse; use of drugs in the treatment of mental disorders; comparative effectiveness and integration of pharmacological and psychological interventions; research methods and problems in conducting research.
Prerequisites: PSY 312 OR 332 OR 376 OR BIOS 171

Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
