ENG D160 - Fundamental English Usage Skills Intended to assist non-native English speaking students in becoming more skilled writers in their undergraduate coursework. Students practice their ability to organize, develop, and write up their ideas; use sources in their writing without plagiarizing; revise and proofread their own writing; and become more aware of their own strengths and opportunities for development in writing. Helping students use correct grammar and vocabulary is also very important in this course.
Requisites: TOEFL 550 paper-based and Composition score of 50/80 IBT, Writing Score of 17, or higher; or Placement out of OPIE or non-native English speaker Credit Hours: 3.0 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
