FR 4512 - Francophone Literature and Culture of the Americas Representative works by 20th- and 21st-century writers of the Americas including canonical writers from Quebec and exiled Haitian writers in Quebec, and/or writers from other French-speaking parts of the Americas. Authors studied include Anne Hebert, Roch Carrier, Michel Tremblay, Marie-Claire Blais, Dany Laferrière, Gérard Etienne, Marie-Célie Agnant. Works are studied in their historical and cultural contexts. Readings, lectures, films, and discussions.
