AAS 4693 - Legal Policy and Disparities in the American Health Care System Intended to examine the disparities in health care experienced by women, children, the elderly, Blacks, Latinos, Native Americans, Appalachians, and the poor in the American health care system, in the spirit of open, scholarly inquiry. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most inhumane. He worked to raise awareness about public health concerns, particularly relating to issues that disproportionately affect minorities, people of color, and low-income communities.
