MATH 3240 - Abstract Algebra
An elementary introduction to algebraic structures. Mappings, relations, definitions, and examples of groups, groups of rotations, cyclic groups, Lagrange’s Theorem, fields, polynomials over fields.
Requisites: MATH 3070 and (3200 or 3210)
Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
