MDIA 4305 - Recording Studio Design & Maintenance Designed for students with a strong commitment to a deeper understanding of the inner workings of a professional recording studio. Explores the design and upkeep of a studio. Topics will include basic and advanced soldering techniques, hardware design, troubleshooting, analog tape machine maintenance and alignment, use of test equipment, equipment fabrication, musical instrument maintenance and acoustic design concepts.
