MGT 3200 - Operations Management More than any other function, operations provides an organization with the capability to compete successfully in the global marketplace. With proper operations management, the firm can provide a product or service of higher quality in less time and at less cost than the competition. Emphasis on conceptual understanding of the operations function and includes the following topics: product/process selection and design, facility location and layout, capacity, material and inventory management, quality, etc.
