NURS 1220 - Mental Health Nursing Focuses on the role of the associate degree nurse as a member within the discipline of nursing and as a provider and manager of nursing care for children, adolescents, and adults with mental and emotional problems. Emphasizes establishing a therapeutic relationship with clients, families, and significant others to achieve adaptation, recovery, and growth by working through alterations in psychosocial needs.
