POLS 1600 - Engaging Politics Challenged to rethink our most common preconceptions of politics and power–that politics is located in the state, and power is exercised through government. Start instead with presumption that politics happens in unexpected places and power is exercised in less easily visible ways. Explores more expansive understandings of the locations of politics and mechanisms through which political power is exercised.
