GEOG 4090 - Dynamic Meteorology II Continuation of Dynamic Meteorology I, with a focus on mid-latitude atmospheric dynamics. Examines the process of a developing mid-latitude cyclone from genesis to lysis, and the interplay between vertical motion, horizontal advection, temperature, and (to some extent) moisture. An investigation of atmospheric dynamics in the planetary boundary layer, where friction must be considered, concludes the course.
