NURS 2040 - Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse Bridge Focuses on nursing care related to acute and chronic alterations in the physiological needs for clients with endocrine, gastrointestinal, hematological concepts and cellular proliferations. Also focuses on oncology, acid base disorders, and fluid and electrolyte disorders. In addition, the integumentary and burn systems will be studied. Focuses on the roles of the associate degree nurse as a member within the discipline of nursing and as a provider and manager of care for children, adolescents, and adults with mental and emotional problems. Emphasizes establishing a caring and therapeutic relationship between the client, family, and nurse. The nurse will use critical thinking skills to promote, health, mental health and well-being.
