CE 5750 - Advanced Foundation Engineering
Design of shallow and deep foundations for complex or unusual soil conditions; design of earth retaining structures including retaining walls, cofferdams, and sheet pile bulkheads; site improvement; and performance evaluation and instrumentation.

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be introduced to several site improvement techniques.
- Students will learn about field instrumentation methods.

- Students will learn how to design shallow foundations for difficult and/or unusal site conditions.
- Students will review fundamentals of foundation engineering.
