CE 6560 - Advanced Waste Water Treatment

Advanced study of theory. Design of biological treatment units. Practice in control methods.

Requisites:
Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be introduced to advanced topics related to wastewater treatment.
  • Students will learn about activated sludge treatment processes.
  • Students will learn about fixed film treatment processes.
  • Students will learn about sludge treatment processes.
  • Students will learn how to model flow characteristics of reactors.
  • Students will understand reaction kinetics and mass transfer operations.
  • Students will understand the disinfection processes.
