EE 6863 - Advanced Electronic Navigation Systems Continuation of EE 5853. Focuses on current and future avionics systems and aircraft electronics. Design and signal processing in navigation receivers.
Requisites: EE 5853 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Knowledge of the working principles of various future navigation systems and their applications.
- The ability to design and implement key algorithms of electronic navigation systems (such as GPS software radio, LIDAR-based navigation) in Matlab®.
- The ability to solve engineering problems related to the design and analysis of electronic navigation systems.
- Understanding a variety of advanced navigation and timing systems.
- Understanding of the design principles involved with safety-critical (avionics) systems.
