EE 7803 - CDMA and Spread Spectrum Communications Introduction to code division multiple access (CDMA) and spread spectrum (SS) systems, with coverage of both direct sequence and frequency hopped spread spectrum. Primary focus is the physical layer. Origins of SS, jamming, spectral overlay, spreading sequences, and performance in AWGN and fading channels. Code acquisition and tracking, power control. Selected topics of current interest.
