GEOG 5210 - Population Geography Survey of global population concerns emphasizing contemporary patterns of population change, fertility, international migration, and the impact of these on the environment and economic resources. Examines critiques (feminist/equity) of population change as a development problem.

- Students will understand major theories explaining population’s impact on the environment.
- Students will understand the variation in population change around the world and theories that explain that variation.
- Students will understand trends in fertility and theories that explain fertility change.
