HIST 5450 - Southeast Asia to c. 1750: The Creative Synthesis Highlights of prehistory and proto-history and development of classical states. Emphasis on cultural synthesis (Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, and animist influences) and theme of change and continuity in both great and little traditions of region.
