MATH 5301 - Advanced Calculus I A proof-based course on functions of one variable. Topics include properties of the real and complex numbers, metric spaces and basic topology, sequences and series, a careful study of limits and continuity, differentiation and Reimann-Stieltjes integration.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students are prepared for graduate study and research in mathematics.
