PHIL 5920 - Applied Ethics


An examination of the relationship of applied ethics to ethics as a branch of philosophy, as well as a survey of the major areas within applied ethics (medical, business, journalistic, etc.), and a consideration of selected problems in each.

Requisites:
Credit Hours: 3

Learning Outcomes:
  • Student wll be able to perform a consideration of selected ethical problems in each area.
  • Students will demonstrate a knowledge of the relationship of applied ethics to ethics as a branch of philosophy, a survey of major areas within applied ethics (medical, business, journalistic, etc.).
