CAS 5700 - Data and Knowledge This course introduces students to the theory and practice of data-informed knowledge. It focuses on the challenges and rewards of learning from data. Research problems are drawn from publicly available datasets and students analyze data by way of hands-on computer programming. Clear communication of findings is emphasized throughout the course.

- Students will be able to describe data by way of numbers, words, and graphics
