SASM 6475 - Applied Sports Fundraising and Development in ICA


This course applies the principles and practices of sport business revenue strategies as it relates directly to the intercollegiate athletics (ICA) fundraising and development aspect of revenue generation. Student teams work with a live client project to identify alternative scenarios for solutions/opportunities and provide conceptual justification for recommendations using relevant sport business revenue strategies. Alternatively, student teams outline the key issues and/or opportunities of a case study. This student-led project is action-based.

Requisites: Admission to COB graduate or certificate program.
Credit Hours: 2
Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be able to apply the principles and practices of sport business revenue strategies as it relates directly to intercollegiate athletics (ICA) fundraising and development aspect of revenue generation.

  • Students will be able to develop a project scope based on client-specific needs in intercollegiate athletics (ICA) fundraising and development.
