AT 3922 - Practicum in Athletic Training IV Under the direct supervision of a clinical instructor, students apply the knowledge and skills obtained in the classroom on an actual patient population. Emphasis is placed on clinical decision-making.
Requisites: AT 3921 Credit Hours: 2 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 practicum Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - The Student will be able to demonstrate proficiency in administrative tasks including event management, and documentation.
- The Student will be able to demonstrate proficiency in creating, implementing, and progressing a therapeutic exercise program.
- The Student will be able to demonstrate proficiency in recognizing general medical conditions, and making the appropriate referral.
- The Student will be able to demonstrate proficiency in recognizing indications, contraindications, and effects of over the counter drug administration.
