AVN 3600 - The National Airspace System Air Traffic Control (ATC) Procedures used to separate aircraft, flow control, ATC phraseology, and navigation in the National Airspace System (NAS).
Requisites: AVN 1100 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 lecture, 2.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to distinguish between the different regulatory requirements to operate within the National Airspace System (NAS).
- Students will be able to categorize airspace in relation to airspace restrictions.
- Students will be able to interpret Air Traffic Control (ATC) and aircraft communications.
- Students will be able to describe how Air Traffic Control (ATC) interacts with varying flight operations.
- Students will be able to describe how Air Traffic Control (ATC) contributes to the safety of flight operations.
