Requisites: CHEM 2410L and CHEM 4310 or concurrent Credit Hours: 2 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 6.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Be familiar with the operation and working principles of spectroscopic instruments such as UV-Vis, Raman, Fluorimetry, atomic emission and atomic mass spectrometry and their application to chemical analyses.
- Be familiar with the operation of chromatographic methods such as GC-FID, GC-MS, HPLC, Electrophoresis and TLC and their application to chemical analyses.
- To understand the safety concerns in laboratory work and to properly handle the generation, storage and disposal of chemicals.
