ENG 3560 - Young Adult Literature Examines the historical development and characteristics of young adult literature, including a focus on methods of instruction.
Requisites: (ENG 2010 or 2020 or 250 or 2 courses above ENG 200) Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. - Connect their personal experience, other literature, and elements of popular culture with young adult literature.
- Explore and support rationales for reading and studying young adult literature.
- Learn to identify the characteristics of different forms and genres as they are represented in young adult literature.
- Participate in a classroom environment that encourages collaboration and sharing.
