ENG 4880 - Advanced Workshop in Nonfiction This is the third in the sequence of three nonfiction writing workshops. Students will be expected to produce at least three essays in workshop, participate in advanced readings in the form, and submit a final portfolio.
Requisites: ENG 3630 and 3950 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 seminar Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Ability to illuminate a complex issue in human experience.
- Ability to write a clear, focused, shapely, and cogent essay.
- Sophisticated understanding of the elements of successful essays, including clarity and originality of thought.
