EXPH 3010 - Foundations of Exercise Physiology Introduces the basic physiological principles of organ systems and body function during exercise. Special emphasis on the function of the nervous, muscular, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems and how they respond to exercise and exercise conditioning. Application of these principles in examining the optimal means to promote health-related fitness and optimal athletic performance.
Requisites: C or better in (BIOS 2030 or 3010) Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will apply physiological principles in examining the optimal means to promote health-related fitness and to optimize athletic performance.
