EXPH 4850 - Motor Development Consideration of psychological, sociological, and physiological bases of development and application of these theories to motor development and performance.
Requisites: Jr or Sr Credit Hours: 2 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will conduct library research in the motor development of a skill activity.
- Students will define, demonstrate, and apply the major concepts of motor development and performance.
- Students will describe the movement and play characteristics of toddler through pre-kindergarten children.
- Students will design and implement a motor development project and report the results in a paper.
- Students will list common infant reflexes, citing the stimulus which causes each, and what reflex movement response is exhibited by the infant.
