GEOG 3050 - Physical Meteorology This course is a survey of atmospheric physics, with a focus on radiation balances, radiative transfer, cloud microphysics, and boundary layer meteorology.
Requisites: GEOG 3010 and MATH 2301 and PHYS 2051 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students can explain moist atmospheric processes, static stability, the construction and application of adiabatic diagrams used in meteorology, and boundary layer meteorology.
