HLTH 2030 - Foundations in Health Education Examines both theory and practice, including terminology, theoretical models, health issues, health organizations, employment opportunities, historical contributions, ethics, and relationship to other health professionals.
Requisites: HLTH 2000 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will explain the Code of Ethics for health education.
- Students will identify a philosophy as it relates to health education.
- Students will identify the common terms used in health education practice.
- Students will identify the seven competencies of the entry level health educator.
