HLTH 2100 - Women and Health

The health needs and concerns of women within the physical, mental/emotional, and social dimensions of functioning are examined. Emphasis on women as health care and product consumers.

Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture
Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I
Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be able to apply a new understanding of women’s health issues to one’s personal life.
  • Students will be able to conceptualize empirical research data in relation to women’s health and its meaning within society.
  • Students will be able to identify and discuss factors affecting women’s health.
